Brooklyn performed Olivia Rodrigo’s “Traitor” which aired on Sept. 28 on NBC.
Both Queen Latifah and Kelly Clarkson turned their chairs for her performance, and Brooklyn decided to join Kelly Clarkson’s team.
The Alexandria teen says she relived the night her audition aired surrounded by the people back home who have supported her at every step — from early local performances to the national stage.
The 14-year-old singer is a familiar face around Alexandria, performing regularly at local venues.
Brooklyn describes the experience as “surreal” and says she still can’t believe it’s real life, adding that the opportunity proves to her that dreams really do come true.
