An invite-only workshop presentation of a new Golden Age Hollywood-themed musical Tinseltown Tiptoe will be held in NYC January 7, 2027. Michael Mayer (Galileo) is directing.
The musical follows a closeted screen heartthrob who enters into an arranged marriage with a fading star. His true relationship with a blacklisted writer is ultimately threatened as the sham relationship unexpectedly leads to a career revival for his wife. The project features a book by Kate Moira Ryan and Nicholas Coster, and a score by Heather Reid.
The creative team also includes orchestrator Steve Sidewell and music director Joshua Zecher-Ross. Christine Russell is producing, with Bespoke Theatricals serving as general managers.
