Welcome to Schmigadoon! Juan Pablo Di Pace, known for playing Fernando on Fuller House and appearing in films like Mamma Mia!, will make his Broadway debut in Schmigadoon! from October 24 to November 22. He will temporarily assume the role of Doc from original cast member Ivan Hernandez during a scheduled four-week leave of absence.
The current cast also includes Alex Brightman as Josh Skinner, 2026 Tony nominee Sara Chase as Melissa Gimble, Jennifer Simard as Mildred Layton, Ann Harada as Florence Menlove, McKenzie Kurtz as Betsy, Isabelle McCalla as Emma Tate, Brad Oscar as Mayor Menlove, Max Clayton as Danny Bailey, Maulik Pancholy as the Reverend, and Ayaan Diop as Carson.
Based on the same-named Apple TV+ series, Schmigadoon! follows a troubled couple who unexpectely come upon the title town, which operates like a Golden Age musical — so they have to sing and dance their way to an escape. The show, written by Cinco Paul, won the 2026 Tony Award for Best Musical alongside honors for its book, score, and orchestrations.
