We come to this place for (holiday) magic.
Kevin Zak‘s A Kidman Carol will return Off-Broadway this November just in time for the holidays. The celebrity-satire take on A Christmas Carol premiered last year with a sold-out developmental run last year, and will now play a limited, six-week engagement at New World Stages beginning November 16, through December 30. An official opening night is set for November 30.
Three-time Tony Award-nominee and Olivier Award-winner Marla Mindelle (Titaníque) and Drama Desk Award-nominee Josh Sharp (ta-da!) will reprise their roles as Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett, respectively.
Skylar Fox (Fat Ham) will direct the comedy, which follows Academy Award-winning legend and Hollywood Scrooge Cate Blanchett as she is visited by three spirits of Nicole Kidman on Oscar’s Eve in order to learn the true meaning of Awards Season.
Additional casting and creative team information will be revealed at a later date.
Benson Drive Productions is producing. Casting is by Jason Thinger, CSA, and Envoy Theatricals serves as General Manager. Additional casting and creative team information will be revealed at a later date.
