Former clients of Staten Island businesswoman Lauren Taliento say they met with federal investigators. Three women who say they lost their homes met with Federal Housing Finance Agency agents. They described a May meeting, but federal officials have not confirmed an active investigation. State prosecutors allege Taliento diverted roughly $14,000 in mortgage payments to cover personal expenses. Taliento, who operates JT Homesavers, faces charges including grand larceny and pleaded not guilty. Her attorney declined a plea offer. The case was adjourned until Nov. 10.
