Parts of New York State welcomed the first snow of the winter this week, but some people are still hoping to get a glimpse of Fall before winter officially comes to the Empire State.

With some warmer weather expected this weekend, I was hoping to do one last ride around town to see the colors of Fall on the leaves in New York State. The Fall Foliage in New York is some of the prettiest in the entire country, but it looks like the season is officially over.

Fall Foliage Season Is Over In New York State

Here is a look at the latest Fall Foliage map, and you can see New York State, along with most of the North, is well past peak for Fall Foliage.

If you want to see the brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges of Fall, you will need to hop on a bus, train, or plane and head South. Of course, there isn’t a lot of color in the South to begin with, so you might still be disappointed with the colors.
