NEW YORK (WABC) — It was a special Saturday night for all of us at WABC-TV at the New York Emmy Awards.
WABC-TV won 19 Emmys, including the biggest honor of the night – Overall Excellence.
Marilu Galvez, the President and General Manager of WABC, accepted the honor while surrounded by the entire team onstage.
Earlier in the evening, Galvez, along with NJ Burkett and ABC Owned Television Stations President Chad Matthews, presented our colleague and friend Bill Ritter with the Governor’s Award.
The prestigious honor recognizes Ritter for his extraordinary career and contributions to journalism.
Ritter has been sharing his journey with Alzheimer’s and helping others through his reports on the disease.
