A Flushing man was badly beaten and robbed during an armed home invasion on Oct. 11, and police from the 109th Precinct arrested a 17-year-old boy a short while later.
Police say four masked men with weapons forcibly entered a residence on the Horace Haring Expressway near 150th Street at around 2:30 a.m. Three of them pulled out firearms, demanding his property while the fourth attacked the 45-year-old victim with a crowbar, striking him across the face, causing bleeding and facial lacerations, police said. The intruders stole the man’s watch and a chain worth approximately $65,000 before leaving the victim zip-tied before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Police apprehended the 17-year-old nearby a short while later, while his three accomplices remained at large. He was booked at the 109th Precinct and charged with robbery, assault, burglary, grand larceny, criminal trespass and harassment. His arraignment in Queens Criminal Court is pending.
