BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) – One of Binghamton’s fan-favorite pizza restaurants had its grand reopening on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
New York Pizzeria, a family-owned business, cut the ribbon on its new location at 71 Robinson Street.
For the past 25 years, the business has served customers at the Binghamton Plaza but had to relocate as the city moves forward with redevelopment of the property.
“When we learned we had to leave our old location, we knew one thing for sure we wanted to stay right here in Binghamton this community has supported us for so many years and we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else,” said Fabrizio Michitti, co-owner of New York Pizzeria.
The owners say they look forward to bringing their signature meals to the new restaurant.
“For more than 25 years the restaurant has been a huge part of our lives we’ve made a lot of pizzas met a lot of wonderful people and built relationships with customers who have really become like a family to us,” said Michitti.
The Robinson Street location comes with a larger dining space, more parking and an expanded menu.
