STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Six months ago, an off-duty NYPD detective pleaded not guilty to DWI charges stemming from a crash in the precinct where he served.
On Wednesday, officers who assisted in the case will testify against the defendant as part of a pre-trial evidentiary hearing. Judge John McPadden will determine whether statements by the defendant, along with other contested evidence, would be admissible at trial.
