Oh, Mary! is still breaking records at the Lyceum Theatre, with current star Bowen Yang bringing the production another all-time high with $1.59 million last week. This is the 16th time the show has set house records since opening in 2024.

And Oh, Mary! isn’t the only show seeing its fortunes rise. Across Broadway, box office climbed by nearly 30% compared to the week prior, with healthy increases in both attendance and average ticket price ($142.02 last week). That last bit seems to be driving the success. Many shows saw overall gross increases compared to the week prior in excess of $300,000. In some cases, the culprit was mostly a reduced playing schedule the week before—that explains The Lion King‘s jaw-dropping $720k increase. But it’s also clear that across the board, fall-winter ticket prices have officially arrived.

That being said, it doesn’t hurt that seats are having little trouble being filled. Last week, 248,496 people saw one of the 29 currently running shows, leaving theatres quite nearly 95% full throughout the week; of every show now playing, just four failed to fill their houses at or above 90%, and the lowest of these (Two Strangers) sat at a pretty healthy 78.22% full.

Star-driven straight plays continue to be a very reliable generator of income. As predicted last week, Other Desert Cities (which counts Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Allison Janney, and Ed Harris above its title) officially joined The $2 Million Club in its second week of previews, its first with a full eight performances. Billy Crystal‘s new solo show 860 has also come out of the gate performing well, bringing in $1.17 million with tickets beating the Broadway average at $156.25. And A Few Good Men at Lincoln Center Theater (which boasts Tom Blyth and Bradley Whitford, among others) enjoyed a banger of a first week of previews with $555k over just three performances.

The top of the list was usual suspect Hamilton, which scraped into The $3 Million Club to lead the pack. In fact, four out of five of Broadway’s top grossers made $2 million or more last week, a rarity that speaks to just how well Broadway is selling before we really even get into the thick of the winter holidays. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was the runner-up with $2.22 million, with that top five also including The Lion King, Other Desert Cities, and MJ The Musical.
