STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Meals on Wheels of Staten Island has launched its seventh annual Donate & Dine campaign, giving residents a chance to support homebound seniors while also supporting local restaurants.

The fundraiser allows donors to contribute $75 and receive a $50 gift card to a participating restaurant of their choice. Larger donations can earn additional gift cards, with a $150 contribution resulting in two gift cards.

The campaign also includes a virtual 50/50 raffle and gift basket raffle to raise additional funds.

“We’re excited to be hosting this campaign for the seventh consecutive year,” said Joseph Tornello, president and CEO of Meals on Wheels of Staten Island. “It’s a unique opportunity for people to support our mission of feeding homebound seniors in our borough while also promoting our local restaurant community.”

Participating restaurants and food establishments include:

South Shore

North Shore

East Shore

West Shore

The campaign runs through Oct. 30 and concludes with a livestreamed event where winners of the 50/50 and gift basket raffles will be announced. Gift cards will be distributed after the campaign ends.

Meals on Wheels of Staten Island delivers two nutritious meals daily to homebound seniors 60 and older who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Beyond food, the organization provides vital human connection and safety checks through its volunteers, often offering the only social interaction some clients receive each day. Its mission is rooted in promoting independence, dignity and well-being for Staten Island’s aging population.

Staten Island’s Meals on Wheels operates from the Elizabeth A. Connelly Pavilion in Port Richmond. The facility is named for the late Staten Island Assemblywoman Elizabeth Connelly from the 61st District, who championed the rights of people with developmental disabilities and helped secure funding for the organization’s headquarters and kitchen.
