Two people were injured when an SUV crashed into a popular Queens pizzeria Thursday, prompting city inspectors to issue a full vacate order for the building.

The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. at New Park Pizzeria on Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach. The FDNY said a BMW SUV struck a portion of the building used for dining.

The driver and a person inside the restaurant were injured and taken to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the department.

The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit responded Thursday afternoon to remove the vehicle from the building.

By Friday morning, vacate orders had been posted on the restaurant’s door, warning patrons not to enter. Green scaffolding was also erected around the portion of the building damaged in the crash.

NY1 has reached out to the Department of Buildings and New Park Pizzeria for comment.
