Lillo Brancato and Taral Hicks have reunited more than three decades after starring together in “A Bronx Tale,” sparking nostalgia among fans of the 1993 coming-of-age crime drama.
Marie Claire featured the reunion on Instagram, showcasing side-by-side photos of the actors from 1993 and 2025, along with throwback images from the set and clips from their scenes together. The magazine noted that the pair “stole our hearts as Jane and Calogero” in Robert De Niro’s directorial debut.
“Can you believe it’s been 32 years?” Marie Claire wrote in the post.
Hicks responded in the comments, saying, “Thank you so much for showing love.”
The film marked the first major role for both actors, according to Parade.
Brancato portrayed Calogero, an Italian-American teenager in the Bronx who becomes entangled with the mafia against his father’s wishes. Hicks played Jane Williams, an African-American girl who becomes his love interest in the film.
De Niro reportedly cast Brancato after watching his impersonation of Travis Bickle from “Taxi Driver,” Parade said. After “A Bronx Tale,” Brancato went on to appear in “The Sopranos.” Hicks pursued both acting and music, releasing her debut R&B album “This Time” in 1997.
