The candidates for governor, Republican Bruce Blakeman and incumbent Democrat Kathy Hochul, faced off in their only debate of the election cycle right here on Spectrum News 1 on Tuesday. The debate, co-moderated by our own Susan Arbetter and Errol Lewis, featured some heated moments and a lot of policy.
Bryan Lesswing, a Democratic strategist who served as an advisor to Hochul, as well as worked on Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin’s campaign, who currently serves as senior vice president and head of Albany at SKDK, and Bill O’Reilly, a former advisor to New York City politicians including former State Senator Roy Goodman and currently working on Republican Saritha Komtireddy’s campaign for attorney general, joined Capital Tonight to give their insight of the debate.
