Borough President Vito Fossella will host the third annual Staten Island High School Girls’ Volleyball Borough President’s Cup at Tottenville High School, bringing together 12 teams from across the borough for two days of competition.

The tournament will again be divided into Gold and Silver brackets, with six teams competing in each.

The Gold Bracket will take place Friday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., while the Silver Bracket will follow Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Gold Bracket will feature St. Joseph by-the-Sea, Susan Wagner High School, St. Joseph Hill Academy, Tottenville High School, New Dorp High School and Curtis High School.

The Silver Bracket will include Moore Catholic High School, Notre Dame Academy, CSIHS/McCown, Port Richmond High School, Staten Island Academy and Petrides.

Both sessions will include semifinal matches, a championship and an awards ceremony following the conclusion of competition.

Community Media of Staten Island will broadcast the main court live throughout the tournament, while games on the second court will be recorded.

The tournament can be watched on Verizon and Spectrum Channel 34 and streamed through the Community Media SI app.

The tournament was initially set for the last weekend in September, but a nor’easter forced the event’s postponement.
