A man was shot in a Midtown subway station Saturday afternoon, police and sources said.

The gunfire erupted inside the 7th Avenue station at 53rd Street at 12:21 p.m., the NYPD said.

Two male gunmen fired from the inside of the northbound E train onto the platform, sources told The Post.

The victim, 34, was apparently shot in the chest, police sources said.

He was administered CPR on the platform before he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in cardiac arrest, sources said.
