Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are still keeping their distance from his family, but Victoria Beckham reportedly believes their latest Paris Fashion Week appearance was anything but a coincidence.

The former Spice Girl presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection on October 2 at the Conciergerie with most of her family in attendance, minus Brooklyn and Nicola. But just the day before, the couple was seen at the Balenciaga and Messika Spring/Summer 2027 shows and celebrating Nicola’s brother Bradley’s birthday on October 3, per People.

“All the two want is to be able to focus on their individual careers as they continue to grow and evolve, and to spend meaningful time with family and friends,” an insider told the media outlet.

That time spent with family did not include the Beckhams, and it seems that Victoria is putting the blame on her daughter-in-law, according to Closer.

“Victoria is convinced that Nicola is chasing headlines. She thinks Nicola and Brooklyn turning up in the same places as the family time and time again is more than coincidence. In her eyes, it’s become an obsession to keep herself in the spotlight,” a source claimed.

Posh Spice believes that the 31-year-old actress likes the caché of the “Beckham name” because it gives her “the level of notoriety she craves, and that keeping this feud alive guarantees she remains part of the conversation.” Victoria finds it “incredibly strange” that her son and his wife turn up in the same locations even though they don’t “want a relationship with his family.” As a result, she “feels Nicola is obsessed with everything she does.”

The family feud began in 2022 during the planning of the couple’s nuptials, which was fraught with fired wedding planners, wedding dress switches that did not include a gown by Nicola’s future mother-in-law, and a hijacked dance at the reception. After four years of headlines, Brooklyn set up a strong boundary, essentially cutting off his family from his life.

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” Brooklyn wrote in a lengthy Instagram Story post in January. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

The rift has reportedly left Victoria “heartbroken,” per the Closer source.

“Whatever she thinks about Nicola, Brooklyn is still her son. Every time they are in the same place, Victoria thinks there might finally be an opportunity for something to change,” they added.

For right now, reconciliation isn’t in the cards.
