Huguenot Memorial Church in Pelham Manor will be hosting two special events on Sunday, October 25 to celebrate the culmination of its 150th anniversary year.
First, immediately following the 10 AM church service, there will be a 150th anniversary celebration for Huguenot with a catered meal, team trivia, and reflections on Huguenot’s 150 years in this community. And for the kids and the kids at heart, there will also be a bounce house, photobooth, and birthday cake. The suggested donation is $20 per adult and $10 per child; advanced registration is not required. All are welcome! The celebration will be both indoor and outdoor, weather permitting. The anniversary celebration will follow the annual Kirkin o’ the Tartans church service at 10am to celebrate our unique cultural backgrounds. Attendees are invited to wear plaid or attire that represents their own heritage!
Second, there will be a concert to celebrate 150 years of music at Huguenot featuring violinist Maria Kistner Conti and organist Kathryn Jones. The concert begins at 4 PM and will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Maria Kistner Conti is a professional violinist who has performed with Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Sting, The Eagles, and Michael Bublé. Kathryn Jones has served as Huguenot’s Director of Music Ministries for over 25 years and serves as the director of the Pelham Larks. Longtime friends who have performed together for over 20 years, Conti and Jones are working to release an album entitled “A Little Peace.” Free admission to all in celebration of Huguenot’s 150th anniversary, though donations to support Huguenot’s music program are appreciated.
Both special events on Sunday, October 25 will take place at Huguenot Memorial Church, located at 901 Pelhamdale Avenue in Pelham Manor.
