To the Editor:

Chris Dlutowski and Ryan Kurtz bring a refreshing energy and a commitment to making Pelham Manor an even better place to live. Speaking with them, you can see they are ready to roll up their sleeves and try new ideas to effect positive changes. Whether it’s using social media to make Village government more accessible and transparent or securing available resources for practical improvements, Chris and Ryan are grounded in real-world applications, with a common-sense approach.

Before moving to Pelham Manor five years ago, I had served on and led local village nonpartisan nominating committees, vetting dozens of candidates for public office. That experience taught me that effective local leadership is practical. The work may be unglamorous, but it matters: filling potholes, keeping sewers clear to prevent flooding, keeping our children safe from traffic as they walk to school. Invariably, the most successful candidates are those that listen carefully, then act. Chris and Ryan have those qualities and understand that small, practical improvements can make a meaningful difference.

I know what effective local leadership requires, and I see it in Chris Dlutowski and Ryan Kurtz. They will listen, lead with integrity, and put Pelham Manor first. I am proud to support them for Village Trustee and hope you will join me on November 3.
