The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music has officially opened its new 12,000-foot facility in Park Slope.

The expansion is being called BKCM Prospect Park West and will double the conservatory’s capacity to deliver music therapy and music education.

The campus, which cost around $17 million to complete, includes a concert hall, a community space and music studios located just blocks from the conservatory’s space, where they’ve been serving the community for 129 years.

The deputy executive director of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Adam Johnston, joined Rocco Vertuccio on “Weekends on 1” Sunday morning to discuss more about the expansion.
