ITHACA, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation is warning Ithaca drivers that part of State Route 13 will see a lane reduction for over a month.
State Route 13 northbound will be reduced to two lanes, between West Clinton Street and Hancock Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in The City of Ithaca from Monday, October 19th through Friday, November 20th.
The lane closure is due to the City conducting drain infrastructure work, which is weather dependent and time of work could change based on conditions.
The DOT is reminding motorists to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones like these. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a suspension of a driver’s license.
