Jay-Z has reportedly picked himself to perform the Super Bowl halftime show when the big game takes place in Los Angeles in February, according to Puck.

The Brooklyn rap icon — who is the decision-maker for Super Bowl halftime talent after his company Roc Nation reached an agreement with the NFL in 2019 — has long been an inevitable and more compelling option than Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, both of whom were in talks for the gig, multiple sources told the outlet.

Jay-Z, who has yet to address the report, will hit the stage to perform two shows, Friday and Saturday, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where he could announce the Super Bowl halftime news.

The 25-time Grammy winner hasn’t released an album since 2017’s “4:44,” which went double-platinum.

In August, Roc Nation publicly dismissed speculation that Jay-Z had completed a new album.

“‘Album done’ … Fake news,” Roc Nation shared in a message on Instagram Stories at the time, as seen in screen-grabs online.

It came after music executive Ray Daniels claimed on his podcast that Jay-Z’s follow-up to “4:44” was “completely done,” adding that a source confirmed the record was pending potential brand partnerships, according to Hypebeast.

Hov’s many chart topping hits have carried through the test of time.

The 56-year-old is also fresh off a successful 2026 run of live shows.

In July, his two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium brought in $42 million — and he took home $12 million for a sold-out show in Paris last month, per Puck.
