Ariana Madix (Love Island, Chicago) has extended her run as Connie Francis in Broadway’s Just in Time at the Circle in the Square Theatre, and will now continue in the role through November 28.
News of the extended stay comes as Matthew Morrison and Tristen Buettel ready to join the production October 20, as Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee, respectively. Morrison, returning to the role after playing a brief engagement earlier this year, will continue alongside Buettel through November 8. Beginning November 10, Nicholas Christopher (Chess) will succeed Morrison as Darin, and Sadie Dickerson will return for a three-week encore as Sandra Dee, with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt set to assume the role December 1, 2026-January 10, 2027.
Just in Time follows the life of midcentury crooner Bobby Darin, and features Darin’s hits such as “Beyond the Sea,” “Splish Splash,” and “Mack the Knife.” The musical, developed by Alex Timbers and based on an original concept by Ted Chapin, features a book by Tony winner Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
Along with Morrison, Madix, and Buettel, the current cast features Debbie Gravitte, Joe Barbara, Emily Bergl, Lance Roberts, Caesar Samayoa, Christine Cornish, Julia Grondin, Valeria Yamin, Tari Kelly, Matt Magnusson, Jeffrey Schecter, and Jaime Foord.
Shannon Lewis choreographs with music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick and orchestrations by Resnick and Michael Thurber. The production also features scenic design by two-time Tony winner Derek McLane (Death Becomes Her), costume design by eight-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber (Moulin Rouge!), lighting design by Tony winner Justin Townsend (Here Lies Love), and sound design by Tony winner Peter Hylenski (Maybe Happy Ending).
David Lurie-Perret is the production stage manager, and Live Wire Theatrical is the general manager. Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, John Frost, and original star Jonathan Groff are producing.
