Police presence reported outside home of NY State Police Lt. Col. Jared Duffy in Colonie

COLONIE, N.Y. — There is a police presence outside the home of New York State Police Lt. Colonel Jared W. Duffy on Tuesday.

That’s according to the New York State Police themselves. Lt. Colonel Duffy lives in Colonie, Albany County, N.Y. Duffy serves as the Assistant Deputy Superintendent Chief of Staff.

“The presence is related to an ongoing investigation and no charges have been filed,” the state police said in a statement sent to CNY Central. Additional details were not shared.

NYSP said more information will be released when it becomes available.
