Underdog, the heroic canine in the same-named cartoon show, will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade after 42 years.
Underdog, the show, only ran for three seasons, from 1964-1967.
According to ABC News, Underdog remains one of the parade’s longest running characters. He appeared in every parade from 1965-1984.
The balloon was displayed in Grand Central Terminal Monday morning.
His return comes just in time for the parade’s centennial.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 26.
