A 21-year-old NYPD recruit was killed Wednesday morning when he crashed his motorcycle on a Queens parkway early Wednesday, police said.

The victim was riding north on the Jackie Robinson Parkway when he struck a guardrail while getting on the ramp to the Van Wyck Expressway about 6 a.m., cops said.

Medics rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

The victim was off duty, but on his way to the NYPD Police Academy in Queens when he crashed, officials said.

“Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our police officer brother who passed away off duty this morning,” Patrick Hendry, the president of the Police Benevolent Association, said Wednesday. “Though his NYPD career was only beginning, he will always be remembered by his brothers and sisters who trained with him in the Police Academy. We will continue to support his family as they face this unimaginable loss.”

Police said the collision badly damaged the two-wheeled vehicle he was riding. It appeared to be a motorcycle rather than a scooter or moped.
