Formerly known as JACX&CO, METTRA is entering a new chapter under new management, bringing a refreshed identity, nearly a dozen dining concepts and a renewed focus on food, entertainment and community to Long Island City.
Beyond dining, METTRA aims to become a vibrant gathering destination for residents, office workers and visitors through live entertainment, cultural programming, private events and community celebrations.
A Two-Day Grand Opening Celebration
To introduce its new identity, METTRA will host a flight-themed grand opening celebration on Oct. 29–30, 2026, featuring DJs, live performances, raffles, food, cocktails and airline-inspired festivities, complete with staff dressed as flight attendants and captains.
Thursday, Oct. 29 | 12–4 p.m.
The grand opening preview will feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, DJ entertainment, dance performances and an opportunity for guests to explore the food hall.
Friday, Oct. 30 | 7 p.m.–12 a.m.
The main grand opening party will feature DJs, live performances, food, cocktails, prize raffles and special Halloween surprises.
