A popular British Christmas brand will open its first U.S. retail store in Midtown Manhattan next month. Lapland, well-known across the pond for its decorations, pajamas, toys and other holiday merchandise, will launch at 3 West 57th St. on Nov. 4.
According to a report from the New York Business Journal, Lapland, founded in 2007 by husband-and-wife duo Alison and Michael Battle, provides a variety of immersive Christmas experiences, which have attracted more than 2 million visitors, including celebrities and members of the British royal family.
Katz & Associates, the real estate advisory firm that brokered the deal, said more than 40 employees — dressed as elves — will operate the Manhattan store.
“It’s exciting to see this beloved Christmas experience come to New York in a new way and to bring even more holiday magic to New Yorkers and visitors this season,” Katz & Associates said in a statement.
