Police are searching for a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 39-year-old woman at knifepoint near East 66th Street and Fifth Avenue in Central Park.
NEW YORK (WABC) — Police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint in Central Park, authorities said.
According to police, officers received a 911 call reporting an assault near East 66th Street and Fifth Avenue in Central Park.
When officers arrived, they were informed that an unidentified man approached a 39-year-old woman, displayed a knife and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police did not immediately release additional information about the suspect. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
