Queens detectives are questioning the husband of a woman found beaten to death in her home Monday night — apparently not long after he allegedly accused her of cheating.
Police took the husband into custody not long after responding to the bloody crime scene at a home on the 6900 block of Park Drive East off Jewel Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills at around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.
Officers from the 107th Precinct were called to the scene after receiving a report of an assault. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Tania Morales unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma and a laceration to her wrist.
EMS rushed Morales to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation say that the victim’s husband allegedly got into an argument with her after accusing her of cheating on him before she was fatally beaten.
The sources further stated that the husband then called his mother and told her that Morales had tried to stab him; in response, he claimed to have allegedly struck Morales with a pole, causing her death. The husband did not have any visible signs of injury when he was taken into custody, the sources noted.
Charges against the husband are pending the results of the ongoing investigation, law enforcement sources said.
Through Oct. 25, the 107th Precinct reported three homicides year-to-date, equal to the number reported at the same point in 2025.
