ANNADALE, Staten Island (PIX11) — Screams echoed through the woods of Staten Island Friday night, where one haunted attraction is putting even the bravest visitors to the test.
Dozens of thrill-seekers have been making their way to Twisted Trails this Halloween season, looking for a good scare. The haunted attraction is packed with larger-than-life spooky characters, dozens of immersive scenes, real-life actors, and hundreds of animatronics lurking throughout the woods.
“It was scary,” said Epifania Timoneri, a visitor. “It was really cool. They have a lot of nice stuff in there and some of the actors actually look — you couldn’t tell if they were real or not.”
The frightening trail is now in its sixth year, but owner Timothy Imbemba said it all started with his daughter’s birthday celebration and has continued expanding ever since.
“We started letting people in and it just kind of started blowing up from there, getting bigger and bigger every single year, and we kind of got obsessed with it,” he said. “So, as you can see, it’s turned into this monster trail.”
Twisted Trails was voted the number one home haunt in the country for 2025 by FrightMaps.
The attraction will open for one final night on Halloween, giving kids a chance to experience trick-or-treating with a bone-chilling twist.
