New York state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli will face a second Democratic challenger in his 2026 reelection bid.
Raj Goyle is an entrepreneur and attorney with a unique resume. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Goyle worked with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, as well as the ACLU. He co-founded a legal defense company which he later sold. He served as a Democratic state legislator in the state of Kansas and founded Phone Free New York, which helped secure passage of the state’s bell-to-bell ban on cellphones.
Goyle, whose campaign website can be found here, told Capital Tonight he wants to expand the parameters of the office of state comptroller.
