Timberland has a long history in streetwear, whether intentionally or not. Since Timberland’s founding, the work boot has become synonymous with the concrete jungle, and its legacy continues to grow. In the last decade, this history has only grown with their decades-long partnership with SNIPES, a streetwear retailer that is much more than just the products it sells. Both brands have expanded beyond their intended reach and, as a result, produced stellar products. This duo is once again coming together for another campaign celebrating their mark in the urban world, featuring a revamped version of Timberland’s Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot. The release’s “Rooted in Concrete” campaign takes place through a one-night story set in the streets of Harlem. Shot with the aesthetic and feel of a raw documentary, this campaign celebrates the grit, magic, and streets that have transformed both of their histories.

SNIPES and Timberland find their roots in Harlemman wearing SNIPES/Timberland boot

SNIPES/Timberland

For this limited-edition collaboration, SNIPES and Timberland took to Harlem for a new look at the classic boot that symbolizes the grit and style of the concrete jungle. “This collaboration is about honoring the relationship between product and place,” says Kelley Walton, CMO of SNIPES USA. “Timberland has been an integral part of SNIPES’ story, and this boot celebrates that legacy while recognizing the cities and communities that have made the footwear silhouette iconic. To reimagine the Premium 6-Inch Waterproof boot, SNIPES and Timberland have added a statement debossed root motif that takes over the toe cap, adding plenty of style.

Along with the debossed root motif, the boot features a waterproof seam-sealed construction and the brand’s exclusive anti-fatigue technology for all-day comfort. Arriving in Timberland’s signature wheat color, everything about the waterproof boot is classic and traditional. The SNIPES x Timberland “Rooted in Concrete” boot arrives at all SNIPES retail locations and online store on November 13 for a retail price of $198.
