WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) — School buses belonging to a private Jewish academy were vandalized with multiple antisemitic messages and symbols.

Police received word just before 10 a.m. Monday when a 9-1-1 call for a “bias crime” came in to the 90th Precinct.

When officers arrived, they found four school buses smeared with messages and hate symbols, including phrases like “[Expletive] Israel,” “[Expletive] Jews” and swastikas spray-painted on the sides of the buses.

The buses belong to United Talmudical Academy, a private Jewish academy, also known as a yeshiva.

The institution has campuses in Williamsburg and Spring Valley.

In a statement online, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city will “use every tool at our disposal” to find those responsible.

“The antisemitic vandalism targeting school buses in South Williamsburg is abhorrent. Every New Yorker — especially our children — deserves to live free of such hatred,” Mamdani wrote.

“My team is in contact with the NYPD and community leaders. We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to confront antisemitism, hold those responsible accountable and ensure that hatred has no place in our city.”

“Antisemitic attacks targeting schoolchildren is the lowest of the low,” Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal wrote on social media after photos of the bus were posted online.

“I hope the suspect is apprehended quickly and prosecuted to the fullest extent under our state and city hate crimes laws.”

The hate crime division and the Williamsburg Shomrim are investigating the incident.

There have been no arrests.
