SNY, the sports network that broadcasts Mets games, canceled its shows, “SportsNite” and “Baseball Night in New York” effective immediately, The Post confirmed.

The network also underwent major layoffs to its editorial staff Friday, according to The Athletic, which reported that SNY’s website will be similar to the websites for YES and MSG Network.

“Changes are coming to the website to focus more on scheduling information and promotion,” a source told The Post.

Sal Licata, host of “Baseball Night in New York,” and main “SportsNite” host Eamon McAnaney were among those let go, per The Athletic.

Jon Alba, who joined SNY as a “SportsNite” contributor and host in October 2023, said Friday was an “incredibly tough day” for the network.

“There’s a chance I may still pop up every now and then on the network, but regardless, I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone,” Alba said in a statement on social media, adding that it “was the best gig I’ve ever had.”

SNY will continue to produce its pre- and postgame shows for the Mets and Jets, among other programs.

“As part of our regular review of our business, operations and programming, SNY has decided to cease broadcasting ‘Baseball Night in New York’ and ‘SportsNite,’” a spokesperson for SNY told The Post.

“We are grateful to those team members that helped bring these programs to fans for many years. Ongoing coverage of the Mets and New York sports are at the heart of SNY’s business, and we remain focused on continuing to deliver high-quality content to our passionate fans.”

Both the “Mets Hot Stove” show and the Carton Show WFAN simulcast were unaffected, and will continue to air,

Chelsea Janes, Ian Begley and Connor Hughes will remain as in-air contributors with the network.
