NEW YORK (PIX11) — A quicker commute is on the wish list for millions of riders and drivers.
The MTA has been reviewing and redesigning bus routes to improve the ride time.
MTA planners and the NYC Department of Transportation review routes and bus stops.
“We are doing it. Providing great service to the customers that’s the goal,” said NYC Transit President Demetrius Crichlow.
The agency is monitoring the new ridership trends and comments from commuters.
A spokesperson says no revisions have been made yet to the Queens bus redesign based on ridership. However, they’re continuing to review the results to ensure they meet service and operational needs.
Up next is the Brooklyn Bus redesign. The proposed final plan is expected to be released in 2026. Drafts are available to review, and the agency wants to hear public comments.
People have been submitting concerns about moving bus stops and changes to routes in Brooklyn.
