A two-year-old boy has died after possibly falling from the 20th floor window of an apartment building in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police in Newark were called to the Elizabeth Towers high-rise at 455 Elizabeth Avenue around 7 a.m. Saturday, on a report of the child falling from the building. The two-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, according to county and city officials.
The name of the boy has not been released and investigators have not shared any further details about what may have led to the tragedy.
