QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A disgruntled customer shot two employees inside a variety discount store in Jamaica, Queens, on Saturday evening, according to police.
Police received a 911 call around 5:08 p.m. reporting a shooting at a store located at 148-18 Jamaica Avenue.
Authorities say a male customer was in the store when a dispute broke out.
The customer left, returned, and then shot two store employees, police said.
One victim, a 55-year-old man, was shot in the thigh, while the other, 34, was shot in the chest, police said.
Both victims were employees of the store.
They were taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to survive, police said.
Authorities are still searching for the shooter, who fled the scene. He was seen wearing gray sweatpants and a green sweater. No arrests have been made, police said.
