The New York Giants (2-8) came into their Week 11 match against the 5-3-1 Green Bay Packers riding a four-game losing streak. The Packers entered the game on a two-game losing streak in which they scored only 20 points.
The Packers were favored by 7.5 points in this game, and the over/under was 42.5 total points.
The Giants played their first game under interim head coach Mike Kafka, and veteran Jameis Winston made his Giants debut at quarterback.
Here’s a breakdown of the studs, duds, and in-betweens from the Giants’ 27-20 Week 11 loss to the Packers.
Stud: RB Tyrone Tracy, Jr.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. has been expected to fill the void left behind by the season-ending injury to rookie Cam Skattebo and has come up short…until today. Tracy rushed for 88 yards on 19 attempts (an average of 4.6) and caught four passes for 51 more yards against the Packers’ 6th-ranked rushing defense.

The Packers entered the game with the 11th-ranked red-zone offense and will leave much higher after the Giants failed to prevent a touchdown on each of their four trips. Not a shock, as the Giants had the 29th-ranked red zone defense entering Week 11. They haven’t looked good all season, and they continued that trend in this game.
Stud: WR Isaiah Hodgins
No misprint. Isaiah Hodgins is back with Big Blue, which leads us all to ask — why was he ever gone? His return game was a solid one, catching five of six targets for 57 yards. Hodgins looked smooth and appeared to have good synergy with Jameis Winston.
Dud: QB Jameis Winston
Hate to do this, but Jameis Winston did have the game in his hands and didn’t win it. Have to give him credit since he hasn’t played in an NFL game since last season, and threw the ball fairly well and was 19 of 29 for 201 yards and ran three times for 10 yards and a score. His interception in the end zone late in the game was a disappointment, however. It would have been a great story had he been able to pull this one out.
Stud: LB Brian Burns
Brian Burns came into the week tied with Cleveland’s Myles Garrett for the NFL lead in sacks with 11 and recorded two more on Sunday against Packers quarterback Jordan Love. The 13 sacks are a new season-high for Burns, who had 12.5 in 2022 as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
Dud: Giants’ secondary
Granted, they were missing starting cornerback Paulson Adebo, who was a late scratch, and could not contain the Packers’ young receiving corps. The irony is, they were not susceptible to the deep pass, allowing three touchdowns of one, two, and 17 yards.
