A push for more housing in Queens took a step forward after the City Council approved a rezoning for the TD Bank site.
The plan allows a 13-story tower with 300 apartments, including nearly 80 permanently affordable homes to be built in Elmhurst. It also adds a community center with classrooms, multipurpose rooms and an ADA-accessible pool run by Commonpoint Queens.
Councilmember Shekar Krishnan, who represents the area, joined “Mornings On 1” Monday to discuss the deal.
