Masked robbers broke into a jewelry store in the heart of India Square in broad daylight last weekend and stole more than $1.5 million of gold valuables with staff and customers inside, according to the owner and a councilman representing the area.

“They should catch these people,” said the owner of the Popular Jewel of London, who declined to disclose his name out of fear of retaliation.
