NEW YORK CITY — If you are looking for the best bagel in America, then you should head to the Lone Star State and not the Big Apple.
Dallas-based business Starship Bagel took home the award for Best Bagel at New York BagelFest 2025.
Starship Bagel is no stranger to this competition. It won the top prize at the festival in 2023, and in 2024, it won Schmear of the Year.
This year, Starship Bagel was also a nominee for the prestigious James Beard Award of Outstanding Bakery. And its busy year continued with an appearance on Guy Fieri’s show “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.”
Starship Bagel was started back in July 2021 by owner Oren Salomon, who was born in Brooklyn. The shop has three locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including downtown Dallas, North Dallas and Lewisville.
