When Vivvi opens its Upper West Side campus this January, it won’t be just another child-care option — it’ll be a full-day, research-backed early learning program built around the real schedules (and real challenges) of working parents.
Founded by two NYC dads, Vivvi was created to fill a gap they knew firsthand: high-quality infant and toddler care that’s flexible enough to fit modern family life. Their vision was simple but surprisingly rare — pair exceptional early education with all-day schedules that don’t make parents choose between their careers and their children’s care.
Vivvi UWS will bring that model to The Windermere at West 92nd Street and West End Avenue, serving up to 72 infants and toddlers in a warm, modern space intentionally built for early learning. Its location — steps from the 96th Street 1/2/3 subway station and close to Riverside Park — means parents can get where they need to go while little ones stay connected to nature and outdoor exploration.
Inside, the campus is designed around how young children actually move, explore, and learn. Furniture is scaled for tiny bodies, and classrooms are arranged around the lower four feet of the room — the world as infants and toddlers experience it. Teachers guide children through hands-on experiences inspired by Montessori and Reggio philosophies, following each child’s interests to support milestones in language, movement, sensory play, and early social-emotional development.
And because movement is essential at this age, Vivvi UWS will feature a dedicated “Wiggle Room” — a space for climbing, balancing, crawling, and play on cold, rainy, or icy days when the park isn’t an option.
But the biggest difference might be the schedule. Vivvi UWS will be open 7am–7pm with year-round care, rolling admissions, and flexible enrollment. It’s a child-care option that adapts to families rather than the other way around — something Upper West Side parents have been asking for.
Just like each of its campuses, Vivvi UWS will also take cues from its neighborhood. Vivvi intentionally weaves local experiences, people, and places into children’s learning, partnering with community members and embracing what makes each area unique.
“The Upper West Side has always felt like an ideal home for us,” says Charles Bonello, Vivvi’s Co-Founder & CEO. “We’re grateful for the warm welcome and excited to bring our mission to a neighborhood that truly values learning, curiosity and community. We can’t wait to become part of daily life here on the UWS.”
Vivvi UWS opens January 2026 — and for local families, it could quickly become one of the neighborhood’s most thoughtful, community-rooted early learning options.
