Mount Vernon police say they are investigating a homicide and canvassing the scene of an apparent shooting.
Neighbors say several shots were fired at an apartment complex on Eastchester Lane.
“The first three shots were on 10th Avenue,” said one neighbor, who added that a “young boy” then ran out of Building 266.
Police have not yet detailed the sequence of events or released any information about the victim.
