QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was stabbed on a subway car in Queens after asking another passenger to lower their voice on Saturday morning, according to police sources.

The 54-year-old victim was riding an E train when he asked a passenger on the phone to lower their voice because of the loud conversation.

The attacker stabbed the victim in the abdomen and then exited the train at the Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer station, police sources said.

Emergency medical services and police arrived on the scene, and the victim was taken to a local hospital. The victim is expected to recover from his injuries, police said.
