2 New York residents, 1 Rhode Island resident arrested for Southern California robbery

A trio of East Coast residents was arrested for a robbery that took place in Burbank last week, police say.

According to the Burbank Police Department, officers responded to the area of Third Street and Delaware Road just after 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 16 on reports of a crash.

“When the officers arrived, the involved parties informed them they had just been robbed,” a BPD spokesperson stated. “The investigation revealed the victims were involved in a traffic collision and were approached by two uninvolved male suspects moments after.”

Police further explained that the suspects then engaged the victims in conversation before attempting to forcibly remove a gold necklace from one of them, which resulted in a physical altercation. During the incident, the suspects stole the victim’s property and fled toward a waiting white SUV driven by a female accomplice, authorities confirmed.

An investigation was launched and Burbank police utilized surveillance video and other technology to track down the white SUV, and it was eventually located by L.A. County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the Walnut Station.

The three occupants, two men and a woman who matched the descriptions in the Burbank case from days prior, were detained, and a search of their vehicle turned up property and clothing linked to the robbery. Additional property believed to be stolen was also located, police said.

The suspects were identified as three East Coast residents:

Brenda Ramirez Ohlmann, 31, of Rhode Island

Victor Gabriel Correa de los Santos, 31, of New York

Manuel Milciades Felipe Medina, 33, of New York

All three were charged with felony robbery and conspiracy.
