NEW YORK (PIX11) — A suspect has been arrested and accused of murder after an 80-year-old man was found stabbed to death in a Manhattan apartment building Monday morning, according to police.
Alon Riabichev, 45, was arrested around 8:45 a.m., five hours after the victim was found with fatal stab wounds to his neck and abdomen at a building on Overlook Avenue, officials said.
Riabichev and the victim, 80-year-old Lev Vayner, lived in the building as roommates, according to sources.
Vayner was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
