A spat between three brothers at a secluded upstate hunting cabin turned deadly when one of them lost his cool and opened fire — leaving his siblings dead before fleeing the scene, state police said.
Scot Thompson, 65, of Englewood, Florida, was in upstate Allegany County on Sunday night when he got into an argument with siblings Mark Thompson, 70, and 69-year-old David Thompson, and shot both his brothers dead when things reached a boiling point, police said.

The accused killer took off from the cabin in Allen, about 70 miles southeast of Buffalo, but was busted after the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Geneseo Police Department tracked down the car.
State troopers first got a call about the deadly shooting shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday and found the two dead brothers at the Botsford Hollow Road and launched the manhunt.
Mark Thompson, of Canterbury, Connecticut, and David Thompson, from Port Charlotte, Florida, had booked the cabin for a hunting trip when tempers flared and shots rang out, police said.
Cops said he left in David Thompson’s car, which was later pulled over.
Scot Thompson was charged with two counts of second-degree murder, and two counts of criminal use of a firearm and was being held at the Allegany County Jail pending arraignment Monday.
