STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, Nov. 27.
You’ll find that some stores are open for essentials — like pharmacies and grocery stores — but most businesses, schools and government agencies will be closed in observance of the holiday.
For those looking to get some holiday shopping done on Thanksgiving, options are limited, as many stores offer extended hours on Black Friday, the day after the holiday, instead.
Here’s a look at holiday closings and schedules in place on the day we gather with family and friends to give thanks, feast and celebrate.
